This article describes what extra modifications users have with the new Administrative role.
Introduction
Except for changing the name of a compartment or section, 'Normal' users have limited possibilities to make modifications in the structure of the Growboard.
As an 'Administrative user', people can now make more changes in the structure. These changes include:
- Modify the location of the sensor
- Move sections to a different compartment
- Move 'placements' (sensor locations) to a different section
Each change will be explained in more detail.
Modify the location of the sensor
Especially when you are using the Heatmap functionality, it is important that the location of the sensor is correct. It is now possible to easily change the GPS coordinates of a sensor. Just follow these 3 steps
Step 1: Select Device Detail
Open the Growboard, zoom down to sensor level, and select Device Detail.
Step 2: Open the map
In the menu click on 'Select location on map'. This will open a map.
Step 3: Move the sensor
Move the sensor to the new location and click on 'Save'. When you are back at the Device Detail window, click on 'Save' again.
That's it!
Move sections to a different compartment
When you want to move a section (or valve/zone) to a different compartment (or greenhouse/room), follow these 2 steps.
Step 1: Go to 'Edit' Section
Open the dashboard, zoom down to the section, and click on 'Edit Section'.
Step 2: Move the section
Go to the 'Move' section, click on the name, and select the new compartment where the section should be moved to.
Move sensor locations to a different section
When you want to move a sensor placement to a different section (or valve/room), follow these two steps. Please note that, for now, you 'move' all historical data for this placement as well.
Step 1: Go to 'Edit Placement'
Open the dashboard, zoom down to the placement (sensor location), and click on 'Edit Placement')
Step 2: Move the placement
Go to the 'Move' section, click on the name, and select the section where the placement should be moved to.
