      How to install the Growficient app (Android)

      This article describes how to install the Growficient app on your mobile, tablet or desktop.

      Note

      Before installing the app, please note the following:

      • The app is still in Beta and is not yet publicly available. Only users who have access to the Beta features can use the app. 
      • The app for mobile and tablet is only available for Android (not iOS)
      • The Android app is currently not yet available in the Google Play Store and can only be downloaded directly from the Growboard. 

      Why using the app?

      Although the Growboard can very well be used from the web browser on your mobile device (phone, tablet), using the app has two main advantages:

      • The overall experience is better, the app is 'smoother' than the browser. 
      • But most importantly, you will get push notifications when thresholds have reached. 

      Install on Mobile / Tablet

      Installing the app on your mobile or tablet is straightforward but different than usual. 

      • It is currently only available for Android. iOS (iPhone and iPad) is not yet supported
      • Since the app is still in the final test phase ('Beta'), the app is not available in the Google Play Store.

      Follow the following steps to install the app:

      Step 1: Go to your Chrome browser on your mobile device

      Step 2: Open the Growboard

      Go to https://growboard.growficient.com and log in with your username / password.

      Step 3: Go to 'Edit Profile'

      After logging in, open the side menu 

      Go to 'User' and then 'Edit Profile'. 

      You are now presented with your user settings. 

      Step 4: Install the app

      Tap the “install” button to continue. You may need to scroll down to find this button.

      Tap the add button to add the app to your apps.

      The Growboard app is now installed and can be found on your home screen.

      Note: During the installation of the app you may get a prompt regarding notifications. If you would like to receive push notifications, then tap 'allow' with the duration of choice. 

      No notification pop-up

      If you haven't seen the notification pop-up to receive push messages during the installation process, push messages are most likely blocked. Follow these 3 steps to turn on notifications for the Growficient app

      Step 1: Open the Growboard in Chrome

      Open Chrome and go to https://growboard.growficient.com and log in with your username / password.

      Step 2: Click on the little lock on the top left

      Step 3: Reset permissions

      Click on 'Permissions'

      Click on 'Reset permissions'
